Dev is studying Van Gogh at school right now. I know, pretty cool! And he's really into drawing. His subjects are mostly people. Although he enjoys drawing animals as well. His style is Expressionist bordering on Abstract. His body of work is on display for a limited time in San Clemente, Ca on our Maytag.

It was day one at Giant this week. Pops gives us the TOP TEN things Jill did on her first day

• Figured out jogging route that goes by Dunkn' Donuts
• Sharpened a load of pencils
• Assured a teary-eyed Mags not to think big, but think GIANT!
• Bought Mr. Gold and Mr. Mullens a burrito because a man enjoying a burrito is one happy camper
• Sent in a change of address card to Fortune magazine
• Decorated her cubicle
• Put on eye glasses to look smart

Mid-semester break

Josh, Nathan, and I went to Coos Bay for the weekend. We had a wonderful time hanging out with Nathan's brother, Cody, and his parents. The weather was beautiful and it was so refreshing to be off campus for a few days!

This last weekend we had our dorm section retreat, and we went to the beach! We stayed in a little, old beach house just a short bit south of Cannon Beach. It was beautiful and relaxing! Overall, we just had a great time getting to know each other better, and growing in the Lord. We wrestled, watched movies, made burnt food, built sandcastles, and just had a fun time! For those of you how missed the news, Robbie entered his very first triathlon. No it wasn't the "Iron man", but it was: 500 meters in the water,
12 miles of a bike ride and 3 miles of running. He did very well. He's the one with his arm up.

Not Easy Being Shawn

After a few days on the job Annette received a phone call from hubby Shawn. Not knowing all the health industry lingo, Shawn asked her where Tongue CA. was. He had just received an up date on his Blackberry stating: Patricia Stafford, Tongue CA. With that, Annette burst out laughing. "Shawn, that's not a place, CA. is a medical term for cancer". Both were right. Tongue
