Established in 1842, Willamette University is a private liberal arts college in Salem, Oregon, US.
The institution offers a range of undergraduate majors including art history, Chinese studies, exercise science, forestry, medieval and renaissance studies and Russian.
Beyond academic programmes, there are over 100 student organisations to join. These include the Hawai'i club, colleges against cancer, backpacking club and running club.

Some Willamette alumni are 2010 Nobel Prize winner in economics Dale T. Mortensen, contemporary artist Marie Watt, James Albaugh, president and CEO of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems and Lisa Murkowski, senior senator on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
