On Mother's Day we decided to go on a hike and check out an old gold mine in Pine Valley, but having the wrong directions, we weren't able to find it and so went to plan B.Following a back road up to Mt. Laguna, we then got out of the car and followed the Pacific Crest trail on foot. Eventually the trail led to an old abandoned airforce base in the middle of nowhere.
Later on we found out that it had been there for early missle detection. My mom was happy and enjoyed her mother's day because she got to go exploring and hiking!
