POP'S TOP TEN
Jill and Maggie went to their first Super Bowl party yesterday. Hey, they didn't know the quarterback's names, but they did know who was playing. Maggie brought one of her fine appetizers (see photo) and it was a"BIG HIT" among the quest. Pop's gives us the TOP TEN things overheard, as well as some things about the party.
- When they arrived, the TV was off, the disco was blaring, and everyone was wearing leather
- No New York Giant fans; no New England fans; just Madonna fans
- Host answered the door naked except for some strategically placed pom-poms
- Every thirty seconds or so, someone kept asking "which one is Brady?"
- "Jill, if the Giants beat the spread, we can finish the "Media" room"
- Yeah, there was a big-screen TV, but they were watching the "Food Network"
- "Hey, Mags, I just heard that no team trailing at the end of the fourth quarter has ever won the Super Bowl"
- "I'll take whatever David Beckam's selling!"
- Kind'a neat, the host served sandwiches by hiking them between her legs
- They ran out of Buffalo wings and started serving Rochester wings
